Choose Your Battles Wisely

“…guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge” 1 Timothy 6:20, NLT.

All throughout the Old Testament, we learn of kings who sought the LORD before going into battle and those who didn’t. Those who sought the LORD experienced victory, and those who didn’t experienced defeat and the humiliation that comes along with it. Every challenge that presents itself to you, my sister, isn’t for you to engage in. There are some battles that are not worth your time or energy. There are more important things the LORD wants you to focus on at this time in your life. To choose your battles wisely is to check in with the Holy Spirit anytime you are presented with an opportunity to engage in conflict.

Prayer: Father God, I ask you to lead me as to what battles to engage in. I need to know what you want me to do in every situation. Guide me by your Holy Spirit so that I won’t waste valuable time and energy. Help me, Lord, to choose my battles wisely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Message from God’s Heart for You

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. ” 1 John 4:11

“I am increasing your capacity to love, says the LORD. I am enlarging your heart and enlarging your tent. I am stretching forth your curtains to love more than those who are in your home. I am lengthening your cords and strengthening your stakes when it comes to love. I am blessing you with this hidden desire of your heart. I am expanding you and widening your vision to see people’s need for Me. Only my love can satisfy them and meet them where they are. So ready yourselves to be stretched like never before. Ready yourselves to go deeper in your understanding of My love. For your love can’t save them. It requires Me working in and through you consistently. As you surrender to Me, I will love them through you, and they won’t be able to resist, they won’t be able to comprehend why you’re loving them the way you are. That’s when you will point them to Me. My children, you will not walk in hate. You will not walk in fear of sharing your faith. You will walk in My love and humility. I say again, your love cannot save them. Your love cannot heal their pain. Your love cannot free from their captivity. This world needs Me, says the LORD. Give them Me by letting Me fill you, expand you, enlarge your heart and increase your capacity to love.”

This is a precious time in your life, my sister.

“You have caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; but You brought us out to rich fulfillment” Psalms 66:12, NKJV.

This is a precious time in your life, my sister. You are a walking testimony of God’s grace. He has brought you through the fire and the many waters, and He is placing you in a rich and fulfilling place. This is your season to shine with His glory. He is causing an abundance of rain to shower down upon you. Don’t be afraid to walk where He tells you to walk. Don’t be afraid to say what He is telling you to say. Don’t be afraid to live the life He has called you to live. He is adorning you. He is making all things new, and it is precious in His sight. He is turning things around for your good. Don’t you see? The fire didn’t destroy you. The many waters didn’t overwhelm you. He brought you through it all and now He is releasing great blessings upon your life. Don’t refuse it. Say, “Lord, I receive all you have in store for me.” The trying of your faith is producing patience within you, and it is beautiful in God’s eyes. See this time in your life as precious, and let your heart be filled with thankfulness to God. He is a wonderful God!

Prayer: Yes, Father, you are a wonderful God! Thank you for everything you have brought me through. You are faithful. Thank you for making all things new. Thank you for bringing me through the fire and waters, into a rich place of fulfillment. I receive all you have in store for me. Everything you have laid up for me, I receive it, and I praise you for your goodness and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” James 1:2-4, NKJV.

You’re going to a new level!

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” 2 Corinthians 4:17

Everything you have experienced in this season of your life has been preparing you for the next level of glory. People will wonder how are you able to do so well where He’s promoting you to, and it will be because of all that the anointing of God has taught you. You prayed for God to take you higher. He has heard you and is taking you deeper in your trust in Him. To get there, you’ll have to go through this. The higher you go, the deeper your trust must be. Your destiny awaits you and He’s preparing you to walk in it!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to me and encouraging my heart. Thank you for everything you’ve brought me through. It has prepared me for the next level of glory. Help me to continue to trust you with my life as you take me from faith to faith and from glory to glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You Need Peace

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3, NKJV.

I’ll never forget a season in my life when every time I went to the altar for prayer the minister would tell me that I needed peace. I would go to them and say, “I need prayer for wisdom because I’m having to make important decisions.” They would look at me and say, “No, you need peace.” Then I would go up to the altar again the next Sunday-this time to a different person-asking for prayer for my marriage and family. Same response, “No, you need peace.” After this happened several times I became frustrated because I thought I already had peace. So I asked my husband, “Do I look peaceful to you?” He smiled and said, “No, you look like you always have a lot on your mind.” I didn’t have peace at all because my mind was on everything else but God.

Peace is more than a feeling, it’s a knowing that everything is going to be alright because God is in control. It’s a song on your heart and an attitude of praise because you know God won’t let you down. In every situation, you can trust in the Lord to make good on His promises to you. You can choose not to worry about how He is going to do it or when He will come through. You can choose to fix your mind on His promises instead of the problems because you know He loves you, He’s with you and He is in full control.

Prayer: Father God, I thank You for speaking to my heart. You are my faithful God and I love You! Help me to keep my mind stayed on You. Keep me in Your perfect peace. I can’t do anything in my own strength. You are the only One who can do it. I put my total trust in You right now and I ask that You be glorified in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

You will let Him be God!

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6

The LORD is lifting the heavy burden from off your shoulders. He is removing from you the weight of responsibility to change anything or anyone. He is helping you place all of the burden on Him. You will place all of the responsibility on Him to change, to heal, and to deliver. You will give it all to Him. It’s by His Spirit that He will save you and your family. It’s by His Spirit that He will heal your disease. It’s by His Spirit that He will cause you to be completely free. Your days of being weighed down are over. You are free in Jesus name. Your days of misery are over. You will learn to live in His peace. You will rest in Him by learning to cast your cares and anxieties on Him. You will let Him perform what He promised you He will do. You will let Him be God!

Don’t Breakdown, Breakthrough!

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Most often when we hear the word “breakthrough” we think of something we are waiting on God to do. However, did you know that you don’t have to wait to break through? The moment you decide to get in faith and respond in faith, you are breaking through. The moment you say, “I’m not giving up! I’m going to keep moving forward and trust in my God”, you are breaking through. When everything in you wants to curse, but you praise God instead, you are breaking through! When you are tested in the same way, at the same point by the same evil forces, but this time you say, “No, that’s not me anymore!” I’m going to honor God with my life”, you are breaking through!

Breakthrough begins when you choose to believe and act on God’s word despite how you feel and despite how it looks. At the end of your rope is where you will find God’s grace. And at that moment when you make that key decision, God has a great promotion waiting for you. God has elevation to a new level of faith waiting for you.

Hear me….

Don’t breakdown…break through…because God has a great promotion waiting for you.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking directly to your daughters. You know where we are on our journey and what we are going through behind closed doors. We need you God more now than ever. Help us God not to breakdown, but to break through. Help us to trust you like we’ve never trusted you before. And we will gladly receive and embrace the promotion and the new level of faith you have waiting for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Slow down to process it.

“But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him” Hebrews 11:6, Amplified.

When God delivered the city of Jericho into Joshua’s hands, he assumed the city of Ai would be no different. He didn’t seek God for His plan or His instructions, and was chased down the mountain by the men he and his army went in to defeat—their hearts melting like water. After the public humiliation, he cried out to God and God gave him instructions and victory.

After you accomplish one feat, are you on to the next one with no time to set apart to process what God has just done or to receive instructions from Him? I’ve done that before, constantly pursuing, attaining, launching and possessing. The secret to our success in God is in our spending the necessary time with Him to receive His wisdom and His grace. He tells us that when we diligently seek Him, we shall be rewarded. Our reward is things working just as He said it would. Our reward is God being glorified in our lives.

So let’s slow down, my sister. Do we want busy or do we want effective? Do we want constantly trying our own methods, or do we want God to be glorified? I believe we want effectiveness. We want God to be glorified in everything we set out to do by His grace.

Prayer: Yes, my Lord. I hear you loud and clear. Yes, I love being on fire for you. I love doing what you’ve called me to do, but help me to slow down and receive instructions from you. I want effectiveness, not busy. I want victory and for you to be glorified. Help me to consistently seek you and not lean to my own understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He Will Exceed What You Ask For!

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20

Imagine you are sitting in the chair of a new stylist, trusting they are as good as you’ve heard. You ask for what you want and they deliver an exceptional hair style. From that day forward, no matter the state of your hair before you sit in their chair, you trust they are going to make sure you look good! No matter the state of your life, you can recline in the Lord and trust Him to make your life beautiful!

You may be new to Him, but He’s not new to you. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Put your trust in Him by letting Him take control of your life, and don’t leave. Just wait. When He’s done with you, you won’t be able to recognize your life! He is just that good!

Prayer: Father, you can do far beyond I can ever dream of or ask for. Your thoughts about me are like the sands of the seashore. With my whole heart, I sit before you and I make my requests known to you and trust I will experience your perfect will for me. I will experience Your blessings for me. I have joy and peace about all I desire! I ask according to Your abundant will and I believe I receive. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

A Clear View

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

One morning when I woke up, I tried to look at the time, but a glass cup was in the way. I tried to see the numbers on the clock, but they were blurred by an obstacle. God spoke to my heart and said there are many who can’t see Me and My plans because they’re vision is blurred by obstacles as small as a glass cup. It took nothing for me to pick up the cup and move it out of my way.

God wants us to see His heart and see His plans for our lives, but we have to lay aside, push aside and move from our way every obstacle and every weight. I speak clear vision over your life right now in Jesus name!! A clear view! Nothing distorted and blurred! See God in His glory. See people with right eyes. Move the obstacle so you can see yourself right and respond right to the situations in your life.

Prayers: Father God, thank You for Your encouragement. I receive these words in my heart and I ask you to help me. Help me to move out of my way any sin and any obstacle that is causing me to not see things right. Work in me Lord and help me to have a clear view. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
