A Message from God’s Heart for You

“But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Isaiah 54:17, New Living Translation

“The missile the enemy has designed to destroy you will be what catapults you forward into My divine purpose and plan for your life. When I said, no weapon formed against you would prosper, I meant it. I am causing what the enemy meant for your bad, to be turned around for your good because I love you and you are called according to My purpose.”

(Scripture references: Romans 8:28; Genesis 50:20)

Just Dance

“…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” John 10:10, Amplified

I remember one time I went salsa dancing with my husband. Before we hit the dance floor, I envisioned myself doing all the right moves, all the right twists and turns. In my mind, I was a national salsa dancing champion. We got on the floor and the music was just right, the mood was just right, my hubby was looking just right, but my hips were not moving just right. I could not make my body do what I was envisioning in my head. So finally I let go of all expectations and demands I had placed on myself, closed my eyes and just danced.

Just dance…

Your life may not be where you always envisioned it would be just yet, but all you have is now. Remove the unrealistic expectations and unfair demands of perfection you’ve placed on yourself…close your eyes…and just dance. Really experience life. Really experience God’s love. Enjoy the knowledge that you belong to the Lord and feel the joy of sharing Him with others. Enjoy the life God has given you as you cast every care on Him!

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the life You have given me. Show me how to fully live it without placing demands of perfection on myself. Help me to just dance, just live, and enjoy the gift of life You’ve given me and live it to the full in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God has a great sense of humor!

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength” Proverbs 17:22, NLT.

I’ll never forget when my husband and I attended a music ministry event while we were dating. Different music artists came up to sing, recite poetry, and rap. Towards the end, an altar call was given, and I went up for prayer. I got down on my knees, closed my eyes, and began to worship God. While I was bowed down, I felt a piece of cloth hovering over my head. I thought, “Well, that’s different,” but I didn’t care, I just kept worshiping God. So as I’m bowed down in serious worship mode, the cloth hovering over my head begins to move towards my back. By this time, I’m wondering, what is going on?! Then I open my eyes and lookup. Suddenly, I notice that I’m under a woman’s dress!! All I saw was leopard print! OH. MY. GOSH. I moved back so fast and sat down on the front row! The woman was totally unaware! While I was bowed down, she must have stepped back, causing her dress to cover my head! Everyone on the front row burst out laughing, and all I could think was, “Lord, you could’ve told me I was under that lady’s dress! I was worshiping you!” 😅

I guess that was His way of letting me know He has me covered…literally.

The Lord has a great sense of humor. He is truly the center of our joy. He likes to bring laughter into our lives when we least expect it. My sister, receive His joy today and a merry heart!

Please share your funny moment. We soooo want to know!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for your sense of humor! Thank you for the joy and laughter you bring into my life when I need it most. Fill me with your joy and give me a merry heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

People are being drawn to you.

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you…the Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1,3

In these last days, people will gather around the anointing like those who gather around a fire. They will want to be where ever God’s presence is. And as in the days of King Saul, those who fear they have lost God’s anointing on their lives because of their disobedience will hate those who are walking in God’s power and favor. We will see a hatred for those who are true like we’ve never seen. But God’s grace will abound and His glory will continue to rise on His precious called out ones.

Don’t fear the world. Greater is He that lives in you than He that is in the world. God’s anointing is resting upon you whether you feel it or not. Your knowledge of Jesus is a sweet fragrance that is being smelled by all around you whether you can smell it or not. Look up and see, people are being drawn to you by the Spirit of God. Everywhere you go, someone is coming over to you. They can see God’s light shining on you and they can feel His warmth emanating through you. Don’t shy away from them. Welcome them with open arms, my sister, and let them be changed!

Prayer: Yes, Lord. I yield to your anointing on my life. I say yes to shining bright with your light. I welcome whoever your Holy Spirit draws to me by your light in me. Give me the words to say that will bring them to true repentance and cause them to make a decision for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is moving!

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” John 14:16-17, NKJV.

Have you ever been standing outside and felt a soft gentle breeze pass by you? When that occurs naturally, it is the wind. When it happens spiritually, it is the Holy Spirit!

While talking with a dear sister of mine and DOTK team member over dinner, she began to share with me that she would love for DOTK to travel from city to city and have small gatherings. When she said this, a huge smile came on my face because the Lord had been talking with me about the same thing for a while —a DOTK Tour. I told her it was on my heart to go from place to place, from city to city, province to province and meet in coffee shops or homes with DOTK readers and simply enjoy God’s presence and enjoy time with each other. Nothing grand or elaborate. Just coffee, muffins and us girls. As soon as we shared along these lines, I felt the wind of the Holy Ghost gently pass by me.

In the New Testament, we find the word “Spirit” (or pneúma) means spirit, wind, or breath. In the Old Testament, “Spirit” (or rûach) has a similar meaning.

My sister, God is moving by His Spirit, and you will begin to pay close attention to His move. You will pay attention when He gently nudges you, when He prompts you, warns you, corrects you, passes by you like a gentle breeze, or speaks to you in a still small voice. God is going to help you become more sensitive to His leading. You will trust that whatever He is placing on your heart to do, it’s going to work, and God will be greatly glorified in your life!

And yes, DOTK Tour is beginning and we

will soon be coming to a city and province near you! Let us know the city you’re in!

Don’t do anything right away.

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19, New Living Translation.

When you are surrounded by needs and everyone you love and care for is in financial crisis, your heart goes out to them. You want to do whatever you can to help them, because that’s how you are wired. But it would be wise, my sister, to pause and not do anything right away. I know that doesn’t sound very Christ-like, but doing nothing allows you the opportunity to receive God’s wisdom and direction. It allows you the opportunity to see if God wants to provide for your loved one in a different way. It also allows them the opportunity to pray and watch God come through for them, which strengthens their relationship with the Lord. If you allow every emergency to become your emergency, you risk making poor decisions that would put you and your family in a bad spot financially–and now you’re in need.

When writing to the church at Philippi, the Apostle Paul said, “My God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” He didn’t say, I’m going to supply all of your needs; he put the expectation on God. He had learned how to trust in Him and he learned the importance of being content in whatever state he found himself in.

When people you love are in need, don’t do anything right away. Don’t make any promises you can’t afford to keep. Consult with God and with your spouse. You’re better off saying, “You’re not alone in this situation. We’re going to trust God together to supply all of your need.”

This takes growth and maturity, and I believe you are well on your way!

Prayer: Father God, thank you for your wisdom. It hurts my heart to see my loved one struggling financially. You wired me to help people and minister to needs. But help me, Lord, to pause and not rush ahead of you. Give me wisdom and direction in every situation that comes my way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Goooooooooooooooooood morning!

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalms 118:24, NKJV.

It’s impossible to say that without smiling. I have this friend that would call me at 5:00 am to say good morning in a singing voice as if I’m already awake and ready to go. I have another friend that whenever we come together to pray in the morning, we start with a long, “Goooooooooooooooooood morning Daddddyyyy! Then we laugh at how silly we sound, but how good it feels. I’ve always loved mornings. To me, morning represents God’s love and mercy. It represents a new day, a fresh start, and another chance to do it better this time.

I say to you, “Good morning!”

Don’t allow the negative experiences you had yesterday to rob you of your good morning. Receive a fresh start. See a sunrise. Hear the birds chirping. Feel the crisp morning air. Breathe deeply and slowly as you awake. Welcome, my friend, to a new day, and to a second chance to do it better this time. Stand and say to God, “Goooooooooooooooooood morning Daddddyyyy!!!!! Then go on and enjoy your day. You can’t change yesterday. Tomorrow’s not here yet. All you have is today.

Prayer: Father, Goooooooooooooooooood morning! I know you never sleep or slumber, but still I say good morning. I love you and I thank you for blessing me to see a new day that I’ve never seen before. I receive your love and your warmth. Help me to forget yesterday, and not fret over tomorrow, but to enjoy this present day. Make this day special and give me peace about it all. It’s going to be ok because you are with me. You love me, and you’re blessing me now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay with it.

“Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come” Matthew 24:13-14, MSG.

If you are wanting to know what God requires of you in this day and time, He wants you to stay with it. Stay with the Lord who saved you. Stay with the Word that taught you. Stay with the spiritual family who welcomed you and who ministered to your needs. Stay with showing the love of Christ even in the face of turmoil and persecution. Stay with it, my sister. Don’t fold under the pressure. Don’t walk away from it all. Let God help you to endure to the end.

This is when you dig your feet in the sand and turn your face towards the wind and say, “Lord, I receive your help to stay with it, to stand for righteousness, and to endure. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

A New Day

“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth…” Isaiah 43:19, Amplified.

God is getting ready to shift you into a new place. You will have to let go of the old ways of doing things. It is a new day. God has troubled the waters so that you can be thrust into your new season in Him. He has hardened some people’s hearts and made their eyes so they can not see or understand you. He is showing you who you are in Him and who He is in you. He is closing the mouths of those you crave approval from so you can find your confidence in His Word alone. He is pruning you and you will produce more fruit for His glory. You will reach more people than you thought possible and touch the lives of many. It is time you rise up from your place and accept God’s invitation and His calling to go higher and to go deeper. You may be all in your feelings because of your situation, my sister, but you’re about to be all in His divine purpose and fulfilling His awesome plan for your life.

He will be glorified in the earth and He will be glorified in your life.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking directly to my heart. Help me to not stay where I am, but let go and embrace you with both hands. Help me, Father, to pursue you with the same intensity that you pursued and won me. I want to be all you created me to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Evaluate the hurt with God’s Word.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NLT.

Whenever you are trying to pinpoint why you feel hurt or why you are seeking forgiveness, use 1 Corinthians 13 as a guide to evaluate the hurt. Ask yourself, do I feel like they were impatient? Do I feel like they were rude? Do I feel like they were only thinking of themselves? Once you pinpoint it, then you can go to the person to express, “I feel like you were impatient with me.” Or “I feel like you didn’t consider me, but were only thinking about yourself, and that hurt.” Now, the two of you have something to work with.

It is the same when seeking forgiveness for something wrong you’ve done. Go down the list in 1 Corinthians 13, and ask yourself, was I unkind? Was I overly sensitive and easily angered? Did I believe the best of that person? Once you locate the problem, now you can go to the person and say, “I apologize for being unkind toward you. You don’t deserve that.” Or “I apologize for not believing the best of you.” This way, when it comes time to communicate, you can express yourself accurately and receive the healing you need, and God is glorified.
